Charlie Company Flag Revealed at Des Moines Reunion
Charlie Company now has its own flag. The flag was designed by Rick and Ashley DeNomme, his granddaughter. Ashley produced five different designs that were evaluated by Rick, Ashley, Joyce DeNomme (Rick’s wife), and Dave DeMauro. They unanimously chose design #5 which depicted the Three Soldiers Monument at the Vietnam Memorial Wall cast over the American flag. The 3/22 Shield, Combat Infantry Badge, and dates of our service in Vietnam are also depicted.
The mostly Infantry Blue colored flag was revealed at the evening banquet at the Des Moines reunion. Each Charlie Company Soldier present was given a flag. Our brothers were very proud to have their own flag and many stated that they couldn’t wait to raise it on their flagpole.
Flags are available only to Charlie Company members from our PX. Contact Rick DeNomme if you wish to purchase a flag. $25
